Althaf Choudhari
Thirty years in business, and a lifetime before that on a farm. Althaf was born into an agricultural family, so his first education in produce was not a trading floor but a field: what a crop looks like in a good season and a bad one, why one lot holds and another breaks down in transit, and how much of a harvest's value is won or lost in the weeks after it leaves the ground. That grounding is why he can look at a consignment and know what it will be worth on arrival, not just at the buying point.
He directs our Bahrain branch, holding the commercial relationships that connect Indian growers to buyers across the Gulf and beyond. His conviction is a simple one and he repeats it often: India grows food good enough for any table in the world, and purity should be something a buyer can verify rather than something a label claims. Every grade standard we hold our packers to traces back to that. In his own words, committed to quality product.
